Grounded in Telluride’s alpine terrain, Gregory is a residence that balances refined living with a design deeply rooted in its mountain setting.
This Telluride residence is shaped by both its historic townscape and the rugged alpine terrain beneath it. The discovery of shallow bedrock required a complete rethinking of the lower-level plan, resulting in a home firmly anchored in its landscape while remaining sensitive to its context. Contemporary living spaces are balanced with the scale and character of Telluride’s historic fabric, integrating refined interiors with forms and materials rooted in place.
Through careful coordination and an iterative design process, the design embraces both the constraints and opportunities of its site. The result is a residence that feels both timeless and grounded—woven into the mountain town while opening to its dramatic alpine setting.
