Top of Adler is a Telluride retreat where historic forms and natural materials meet contemporary design, stepping with the slope to embrace mountain and town.
Set high above Telluride, Top of Adler redefines a historic mountain lot with a design that responds to both heritage and terrain. Anchored into the slope, the residence draws on Telluride’s historic forms while introducing contemporary volumes that step with the land. Natural stone, wood, and glass create a dialogue between permanence and lightness, allowing the home to feel both grounded and open.
Expansive glazing frames sweeping alpine views, while interior spaces are organized to balance intimacy with connection to the landscape. Through careful attention to site constraints and historic context, the design achieves a balance between past and present, preserving Telluride’s character while offering modern mountain living.
