This new 5,000 square foot house mediates between the natural hillside overlooking the Telluride Valley and the Mountain Village Core below. Its sensitive design traverses the steep slope like a mountain trail to minimize environmental disturbance.

Sleeping areas engage with the earth while Living Spaces float above it rotated to gather the panoramic views. The roof forms emerge from the topography and move organically across the site, blurring the traditional distinction between roofs and floors. The warm, natural material palette of site-quarried stone and recycled steel&wood, blend seamlessly with the surroundings.
