Bridge House floats among the trees like a suspended passage, balancing the lightness of a bridge with the grounded permanence of stone.
Perched on a steep hillside above Mountain Village, Bridge House is conceived as the experience of a house as a bridge—lightly spanning the land with living spaces floating among the trees. Anchored by stone buttresses and entry boulders, the structure stretches east to west in parallel with the San Sophia Range, gently stepping down with the terrain while maintaining a sense of suspension. Catwalks thread through the forest, hovering over the site’s natural draw to connect public and private spaces with shifting views of ridges beyond.
Open and airy through its central bridge yet grounded at its stone-clad ends, the house balances lightness with permanence. As the buttresses rise, they dissolve into delicate timber and steel rooflines that frame panoramic views from the office and guest suites—offering a dynamic interplay of height, privacy, and perspective.
