Boma Yetu is a community anchor in Kenya where culture, education, and enterprise converge—creating a shared space for connection, learning, and everyday life.
Boma Yetu is envisioned as a new community anchor in northern Kenya—a place where culture, education, enterprise, and daily life come together. At its heart, the project weaves civic, social, and residential functions into a shared framework, combining a museum, café, school, housing, and community spaces. Drawing from local traditions of gathering and exchange, the design emphasizes openness and accessibility, creating an environment where people can connect, learn, and celebrate heritage.
Beyond cultural expression, Boma Yetu also serves as an engine for economic growth, with innovation labs, teaching spaces, artisan markets, and resources dedicated to women’s empowerment and enterprise. Anchored in its landscape and rooted in its community, Boma Yetu offers both a hub of identity and a foundation for everyday living, strengthening ties between people, culture, and place.
